T-Shirt: Cult, Culture, Subversion

Fashion & Textile Museum London / The Civic Barnsley and touring, 2016-2019

Exhibition chronicling the t-shirt as an agent of socio-cultural expression while highlighting the technologies that assured the t-shirt would be a canvas for ideas and a key player in fashion history. The exhibition was presented thematically, and comprised over 180 t-shirts from museum, designer and private collections.

With the support of co-curators Dennis Nothdruft and David Sinclair, and exhibition designer Guida Ferrari, the exhibition was presented first at the Fashion & Textile Museum, then the Civic Barnsley, La Roca Village and the Blackburn Fabrications Festival.
